5Great brand, well made, sturdy, and easy to use
By sharkychick
I've had this convection oven for a while now and used it for many types of things. I wanted something that, because I cook for just myself quite a bit, I could use for baking, broiling, etc, without cranking up the big oven. The microwave is great, but it's not the best choice for many things. Anyway, this convection oven is fitting the bill very well.

The unit is attractive and I find the size to be perfect. Not only does it go well on one of my kitchen counters, but the inside is a great size too. As they say, it will easily fit a 13x9" baking pan. It comes with a lightweight, nonstick pan that is about 9x10" that is very handy. Do know, however, that it IS a lightweight pan and will warp up on diagonally opposite sides during baking. It does go back flat afterward, but it is noteworthy. Since this pan is, by far, not that integral part of the unit I didn't find this to be a deal breaker. I have plenty of other pans to use. I have used the include d pan many times and, aside from the temporary warping, it works just fine.

The outside of the unit will get kind of hot...hot enough that you don't want to put your hand on it, but not hot enough to cause damage or even heat up the area more than several inches from it. The most heat generated from using it at 425F for an hour or more is that the outside bottom of the cabinet above will get warm. I was initially concerned, as I had chosen a spot for this unit that had cabinets above. I'd read about some lesser convection ovens/toaster ovens that had problems with creating a LOT of heat. I was happy to realize that this one is made well enough that it is perfectly comfortable and safe with cabinets above it. (I will post a picture)

You can program from a number of choices of types of cooking (bake, broil, toast, bagels, pizza, etc) and choose any number of minutes you need. The controls are well explained in the manual and very easy to use.
< br />I am very pleased having chosen this particular (my first) convection oven.

5Oh yeah!
By sherrbie
I did not realize how poorly my previous oven worked until I got this one. I used a thermometer to check the trueness of the temps, spot on. The controls are easy to learn and mostly self evident. The size is great, have used a 12 cup muffin pan (it can not have handles, just a rolled edge) and it worked great. I thought I would wish it was it was slightly higher between rack and top element to bake bread but it works fine. In all so far, I love it.
