Just what I wanted.

It's wide enough for bagels which is one reason I bought it. I really like the cancel feature. No pushing up the handle to stop it from toasting further, if you changed your mind. It's also sturdy for a large family.

Nice compact toaster

I have been using a Cuisinart long 4 slice toaster and have always been pleased with it. Having said that, I find that it takes up too much room in my base cabinet and it's getting too heavy for me to pull out on a daily basis. So I spent a couple of hours on amazon.com looking for a well-reviewed, compact, black, and reasonably priced toaster. Sure I would love one of those expensive La De Dah $200 toasters, especially since I make toast every day. I just can't justify that price and I selected this particular toaster, not only for price and good reviews but because it seemed to have one of the smaller footprints. I want to keep my toaster and coffee maker on the countertop now rather than bending down to pull it out of the cabinet. I am not a toast gourmet so all I can tell you is that it does the job it was designed to do. It toasts bread quickly and evenly and that's good enough for me.

works great, browns the bread evenly as a toaster should. wide slots accomidate bagels and texas sized slices, highly recommend
